Self Evaluation of my academic year (2009)

2009 has been one very interesting year, especially to academic level.

In March I began my third year of university with very much spirit, thinking that was going to acquire much new knowledge and to penetrate into others.

Though it is true that I have learned many things, I think that I had many expectations and sometimes the reality is not capable of fulfilling them. But it doesn´t mean that it has been an evil academic year, on the contrary, since I could have discovered varied approaches to see and work from my career and it has meant a deepening knowledge that though it has not been everything what was waiting, yes has allowed that I should see the psychology from another perspective.

The first semester I had 5 matters that were including several ways of looking at the psychology. I penetrated into psychology of the work, community psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology and juridical psychology and among all they created a wide enough vision of seeing my career and the possible interventions of raising it.

During the Second semester, I had the possibility of choosing the matters that I wanted to take. I chose a matter of juridical psychology that is very good as for contents, but sincerely it is not like that as for the organization. I chose also, a matter of community that I thought was going to be good enough, but really it did not expire with the expectations that I had of it.

Other matters were of labour psychology and clinical psychology. The first one wanted to pass it as promptly as possible because I don´t like it and I´m sure that labour is not in what I want to develop when I works. The second one, as community, I believe that it had too many expectations and it was not everything good that I imagined.

I think that what more supported me to taste was to continue in the group of Freud's study that several companions of the career we form and of which there is to post the teacher Foladori.

In end, in spite of that this year I had the possibility of penetrating much more into my career, the organization of the matters and probably bad choices took me that my major expectations were not fulfilled. Nonetheless I think that this year has been a great year since I have grown very much and in spite of that it was not everything what I imagined, it was one very good year.

Hello everybody!!!...

Today I´m going to talk about some important challenges of my discipline. Principally, challenges in Social Matters and Education.

The psychology to the being a social science, at least recognized from our university, has an enormous commitment in social matters.

An example of this social commitment, though with certain aspects to criticize, it is the extension of the revenue to our career. Psychology of the University of Chile is stimulating a change and an advance in the revenue to the university, on having opened an easier access to students who generally have fewer possibilities of entering the career. The idea that even is preceded in our university for the next year is that they exists 20 persons who though in the normal process they might not stay, in this process of revenue would have more possibilities. The problem with this initiative is that since it is a regulation of the university must follow respecting 600 points minimum in the PSU, independently of if they have remained first in the list arranged by quintile. In addition, though one assures the access, the same thing doesn´t happen concerning how to cover the expenses that to study a career means so it must continue being covered by scholarships and credits. Even this way, in spite of that it is an initiative with some critiques; it is a contribution as for trying to diminish the social gap that exists in the revenue to the university.

As for the education, the psychology has much that to say in this matter, but tends not to be listened by the rest of the society for being considered a science of little weight.

In Chile we know that the education faces an enormous crisis that goes beyond aspects of infrastructure, but it has to see with quality. The problem is that till now what has been done is to generate solutions patch and not to realize the structural changes that really are needed. Though the psychology is not going to change with her ideas the education into Chile, if it would be good that it was attended while it is fundamental that those who direct and teach understand the important of a quality education, a quality that goes beyond good results in SIMCE or in PSU, but it appeals to a really good, equitable education, where no child is discriminated for not being able to pay a college, because the education has to be free and of excellence.

Free time?

Hi everybody!!!
How are you today?... I hope that very well!!!
Today I´m going to talk about activities that I realize in my free time.
First, I have to say that the university absorbs almost all my time, because I have to study, works, tests, etc. For this reason I don´t have much time for me, but in my leisure time I realize activities to relax me.
I come to the university and to other places in bicycle. I think that this mean of transport is the best, because it doesn´t contaminate and this activity is very good for health. When I ride in my bicycle I feel the breeze and this is wonderful.
Also I like to listening music every time that I can, because music is something very important in my life. The music relaxes me and raises the spirit. I have to say that music is better when you are with friends, sat in the pasture, with a guitar and beers. I think that this one is the activity that more I realize (LOL).
When I can I go to dance afro. This dance is something very special, because is a dance very communicative but very strong too. When you dance afro you feel that all your energy is flowing and that you throw all the tensions. I go to dance every time that I can, but lately I couldn´t have gone because I have been very busy with the studies.
Also, when I have free time I like to watch TV, specially my favorite series as Doctor House, The Mentalist, Lie to Me, etc. This series are so cool. You should see them, I recommend them to you.
Finally, when I have more free time, I like to go dancing with my friends. We go to discotheques or pubs and there we can dance a lot, meet new people and have a good time. When I go to dancing with my friends we amuse ourselves very much and I think that this is the best activity of my free time and I enjoy it very much.
Well that´s it.

Hello everybody!!!
How are you today?... I hope that very well!
Today I´m going to talk about the situation in my faculty.
I study Psychology in Faculty of Social Sciences (FaCSo). This faculty is very hippie, compared with others, because the campus is very hippie too.
If we compare Facso with others faculties like Engineering, we can say that our faculty is very poor, because here we don´t have the technology or money to buy many things.
In our faculty many things are absent and others need an urgent improvement. We can see that in our library many very necessary books are absent; our computers rooms newly have more computers and even this way is not enough; we need a studies room that isn´t inside of our canteen; etc, etc, etc.
It is true that this faculty doesn´t handle the sufficient money to change once all the problems, but it´s not true that we don´t have anything of money. The problem is that the money isn´t inverted in what corresponds. Our authorities need to understand that are situations more necessaries for to be worried. We as students have to press in order that our demands are really listened, but we have to make that with constructive propositions and don´t only with complaints.
If we want to make of this faculty the best, we must be joined and not allow that they should happen to us above.
I think that are very things that we don’t have in our faculty, but is a good and agreeable place to study.

Hi everybody!!!
How are you today?! I hope that excellent!!!
Today I´m going to talk about my favorite music.
I have to say that I like so much the music.
The music is something very important in my life because depending on my state of mind, it makes me happy, raises the spirit or accompanies me when I am sad, etc.
For this reason I listen music all the day, every day. I feel as if the soundtrack of my life were always on.
I think that music is very good for health, because like I said newly is an accompanist who raises the spirit.
I listen to different styles of music, especially Classic Rock. The Beatles, The Doors, Led Zep and Guns and Roses are bands that I like very much.

In that concert besides Cadillacs played Los Tres and Chico Trujillo… was incredible!!!

Hello!!!
Today I´m going to talk about the suicide in the work, a topic of analysis that has been extracted of website: http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2009/oct/09/suicide-work-mental-health
This article tells us of the enormous psychological impact that it has the suicide in the workplace.
Sometimes there are pressures so much to level of company as individual that it combines and to become intolerable being able to lead to the suicide.
From this perspective, it is necessary to worry not only about the own psychological well-being but also about that of the colleagues. To be able to offer support whom it suffers at the right time is important at the moment of avoiding a suicide, such it is the case of the author of the article, who if he wasn´t for a companion of work who gave to him the support that desperate he needed, wouldn´t be already strictly between ourselves.
It´s clear that any workplace points to be a healthy environment, but before the possibility of a suicide this task becomes really difficult. We aren´t accustomed to communicating really with other one and opposite to topics so difficult as the suicide we don´t know how to act.
The suicide is a phenomenon from which we aren´t exempt. We don´t know in what circumstances of the life we´ll be in the future that they could lead us to thinking of finishing with our lives. Because of it, we must start being more attentive with others and realize what happens with the people to ours around.

Hi everybody!!!
How are they today? I hope that excellent!!!
Well, today I´m going to talk about my favorite food.
Obviously, since I´m vegetarian my favorite food is also a vegetarian. This is: Vegetarian Lasagna.
When I speak about this food I don´t speak about any vegetarian lasagna but about the one that my grandmother prepares, because this one done with love and is delicious.
What more I like of this food is that it has cheese and the salty flavor. This is exquisite and the vegetables are the best.
I have to admit that I have never cooked my favorite food, because I don´t know cook.
Cooking isn´t an important interest in my life, at least in these moments, because my mother and my grandmother cook exquisite foods for me. So to learn to cook isn´t a need by now.
I think that this food is good to be cook with dear persons for to enjoy it with their. It is possible to add to the food a bit of wine and is a perfect moment.
I have to say that the vegetarian food is the best and it would be perfect that more people were joining the vegetarianism.
I think that being vegetarian is a way of being more conscious that other animals feel as we the human beings.
For the same thing it is a way of helping to that every day fewer innocent animals die. It is a strong and real commitment and I feel very happy to be a vegetarian.

Hi everybody!!!
Today I´m going to talk about the places that you can´t stop visiting if you come to Santiago.
If you want to dance and to spend a good moment you have to visit the neighborhood Suecia and the neighborhood Bellavista. There you´ll find many bars, discos, etc.
In Bellavista also you´ll find the Neruda´s house, a place that you have to visit someday, because is part of the cultural heart of Santiago.
One of the places most known of Santiago is “La Piojera” where you´ll find music, drinks, etc. that you´ll enjoy very much. If you visit this place you have to drink a “Terremoto” because is a good and typical Chilean drink.
Also you have to visit Quinta Normal, a park very beautiful where the people can ride, the children can play and to spend a good moment with the family.
Finally, you have to visit San Cristóbal hill where you´ll find a giant statue of the virgin Maria, the metropolitan zoo and the funicular one.
I think that these are some of the places most typical of Santiago that a tourist must visit.

Hi friends!!!

Today I´m going to write about the last film that I saw…

The name of the film was “Sophie's World”.

The movie was about a girl who was 15 years old and his father gave her a book that he had written especially for her.

The main argument revolved around the philosophy and as the father finally gave her the girl a new way to question the world and reality.

Precisely, as the film was centered on the philosophy and made a very rich historical journey was what I liked about the movie.

The main characters in the film were Hilde and Sophie. The latter was a person who traveled and delved into philosophy in a novel that Hilde's father had written.

The movie came into my hands by chance (a friend lent me the film), but long time ago I wanted to see that movie because I was intrigued after reading a chapter of the book in which it is based.

Really, I think that I expected too much of the film. When I started of reading the book I was full of curiosity and now, when I saw the film I´m not satisfied, because as I had many expectations and I found the film not as good.

Well, that´s it.

Hello everybody!!!

Today I´m going to talk about my opinion of Transantiago system.

I think that Transantiago at the moment is better than when it began and it is even better than the previous system.

Though the process was very slow at the beginning, now people are used to the new routes and to the system in general.

When Transantiago began, the system wasn´t ready to be started and for this reason it didn´t work very well.

The citizens were very angry and confused.

The system was very different from the previous one and the people didn´t know how used it.

But though it has many bad things, the new system is much better than the previous one, because in that one there wasn´t respect for the students, the competition was excessive, etc.

Though the general experience wasn´t good, in my case I didn´t have problems with this new system. The routes are fast and the frequency was good.

The only problem was that the buses were old, and enough time passed until the company bought of the new ones.

I think that in this moment the system is well, but it might be better if the routes were increasing or something like that.

Brazil

Hi everybody!!!
Today I´m going to talk about a country that I would like to go.
This country is Brazil.
I would like to go to Brazil because I think that is a beautiful place, with a lot of beaches and affectionate persons.
I like this country because it is a very happy place, full of life, colors and incredible music.
I must admit that I have already been to this country and I got charmed with it.
I was in Foz do Iguazú, in the waterfalls and to know this place and its people were wonderful. For these reasons I would like to return and to know more places of this country.
If I went again I would like to stay a lot of time, to know many places, to speak with many people and to know more thoroughly its culture so rich.
Under this conditions I would live there in a sufficient time to know it completely, but I wouldn´t stay forever, because also I would like to know many other places like France, Jamaica, etc.
Well, that´s it.
I hope you share my desires to visit this beautiful country.

Experiences

Hi everybody!!!
Today I´m going to talk about my experiences during the first term of 2009.
That term I learned a bit about every area of my career: Psychology. I specially studied Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology and Community Psychology. These are the most important areas to understand Psychology and are very interesting to me.
Also take part (and even I do it) of a course of study on Freud. This course is very interesting and it treats the whole Freud's theory.
During the first term of 2009 I didn´t sport because I didn´t have time and principally I didn´t desire, but now I go to many activities like Afro, Salsa and Entertaining dance and I´m very motivated.
In my free time I went out so much with my friends, especially to dancing, eating and conversing. They were excellent moments that I hope to repeat this semester.
Also I knew many very entertaining people and I tried to be the major possible time with my family (to which I do not see always because I am not from Santiago but live here for the University) and to share very much with them.
Well, it has been a bit of what I have done and lived the latter time, specifically the first semester of this year.

Hi everybody!!!...
How are you today? I hope that you are very nice!
Today I´m going to write about my blogging experience.
My experience in the world of the blog was good enough and entertaining.
I before did not have blog and did not want to have one, because of it I did not like much the idea of do one, but when I began to use the blog it seemed to me very entertaining and interesting, because it is very dynamic, and in addition it allowed me to share my opinions with regard to several things of my life and to know what think my companions of their career, of their future, etc.
Thanks to the blog I improved my English because it allowed me to practise very much and to start thinking a bit better in English, so I feel very satisfied for the advances that I had using the blog.
I believe that the blog is a very good tool to improve the English of the pupils of the courses, but I believe that the percentage of the blog is very low and should be high because the reversed time is great.
I think that the blog was super entertaining to do it because I practised very much the English and as already I said could know the thoughts of my companions of course on several things... Because of it I think that in the percentage of the final note of the course it should be cost more, or that if it continues with the same percentage has less exigency obviously.
Since this is the last blog that I´m going to write for this course, I want to say that I enjoyed very much doing the blog.
Also I want to wish to my companions and the teacher an excellent vacations!!

My ideal job

Hi everybody!
Today I´m going to talk about my ideal job.
Obviously, my ideal job is related with Psychology.
I would like very much to work in Psychology Clinic Communnity, maybe in some community, ONG or fundation... Working as psychologist, but more than assistance, to achieve a link with the persons and to influence them to achieving changes mas deep.
To realize this labor, a great commitment is necessary with the community. Also is necessary a lot of motivation to influence the persons with whom one is working like with one itself, in the sense in which it is necessary to be motivated to realize well the work and for the same thing to there be compromised with what is done. It is necessary be active, compromised, nearby to the people to the one that wants to help, etc.
I think that I would be good in this job because I have a lot of motivation to work in some community, working like clinic psychologist, but helping at people with conflicts of their life.
I know that will be difficult but not impossible, because motivation will not be absent!

The creativity murdered by the schools

Hi everybody!
Today I`m going to write about a video about the schools and the creativity.
The education us causes an enormous interest, because it takes us to a future that we cannot understand, a future that is unforseeable.
Inside the education, an aspect as important as the literacy is the creativity, therefore we must treat them with the same importance.
The children are the principal actors of the creativity. They have an enormous talent that the society wastes mercilessly. The people are educated removing it from their creative capacities.
Every educational system in the world has the same hierarchy of topics. In the highest thing there are the mathematics and the languages, the humanities, and in the low part, the arts. There isn´t a system of education in the world that teaches to dance the children every day like does with the mathematics.
It what happens is that the education is centred only on the brains of the children, but brains without bodies. In this way, is favoured an academic system, by which the access to the education is ruled.

It is necessary that we rethink radically our vision of the intelligence.

We know that it is diverse, we think the world about all the forms on which we experiment: we think visually, think about sounds, think about abstract terms, think about movement, etc.

It is dynamic, interactive and distinctive. The creativity is defined then, like the process of having original ideas that have value and often this isn´t achieved and it must be done by means of the interaction of different disciplinary forms of seeing the things.

We face a world where everything what leaves of the norm implies having some disorder.
It is for this that it is necessary to adopt a new conception about the human ecology, where it starts reconstructing our conception about the wealth of this one.
It is necessary to rethink the fundamental principles in which the children are educated and see them for the hope that they represent. Our task is to educate to the totality of their being and to help them to make something good with a future that probably we don´t see.

My favorite subject

Hi everybody!

Today I´m going to talk about my favorite subject.

This semester my favorite subject isn´t one, really are tow: Community Psychology and Educational Psychology.

The teachers of Community Psychology are 3: Germán Rozas, Rodrigo Quiroz and Rodolfo Sapiains.

This subject is very interesting because it is an applied and very practical subject, which is full of social sense. It is a subject wich you can of facilitate changes in the society and this is because I like it.

In Educational Psychology, the teachers are: Jesús Redondo and Paulina Castro.

This subject is very interesting because it allows to analyze what happens and what has happened with the Chilean education and generating not only you criticize but possible solutions to this. For this reason, I like this subject.

I hope that you think like me, because the social sense is something that is neccesary to have.

The uncertain future

Hello everybody!!!

Today I´m going to talk about my future or my perception about him.

If you ask me: What will you be doing 5 years from now? I don´t know how answer you, at least not exactly... the unique clear thing that I have is that I will be working...

But if you ask me: What would you like to be doing in the future?... I hope to be exercising my profession, being a good psicologist. I don´t know yet the area that I will be employed, because I like several: the Clinical Psychology, the Educational Psychology and the Community Psychology, but as everything it is complementary, I don´t believe have any problem.

In the personal area, I hope to have the possibility of travel a lot, to know many places, many cultures, etc. In this way, the place where I will be living is not important, but I think that the important is to be with my family and friends, because are their the support in my life.

The best in my field

Hello everybody!!!
Today I´m going to talk about a man that in my opinion is one of the best in my field. His name is Sigmund Freud and though his profession is not psychologist but neurologist, his work is very important in Psychology because he created one of the most interesting theories: Psychoanalysis.
He began his career being interested in the hypnosis. Later, he replaced the hypnosis by the free association and the analysis of the dreams, being the point of item for the psychoanalysis.
Freud innovated in two fields. Simultaneously, he developed a theory of the mind and of the human conduct, and a therapeutic technique to help persons with psychic affections.
Probably, the most significant contribution that Freud has done to the modern thought is it of trying to give to the concept of unconscious a scientific status (not shared by several branches of the science and the psychology). I think that his contribution is very important to understand the most unconscious motivations that guide the human behavior but also to help the persons in the search and solution of their conflicts.

For this motives Freud is one of the most important authors in my field.

My career

Hi everybody!!!

Today I`m going to talk about my career: Psychology.

The principal reason for study this career is because I think that is possible to help people to solve their conflicts. In this way, is necessary to have a social sense and to be worried by the rest of the persons.

I think that all the Psychology contribute to society in differents senses. For example, the Clinical Psychology contributes specially in mental health and Community Psychology contributes generating social changes, helping to solve the conflicts of the communities, etc.
Is for these motives that I like very much Psychology, especially the Community and Clinical Psychology.

The specialist must to acquire a lot of knowledge but the most important for help to the patients is that he knows how interpret their speeches.

Inside Psychology, the theory that is most interesting for me is the Psychoanalysis. I like this theory because I believe that unconscious, repression, lapsus, dreams, etc. exist and work with them is very important to help the patients searching the solutions for their conflicts.

For the present it is everything what I can say...

I hope to acquire more knowledge and become an excellent psichologist.
I wish that you fell in love of your career like me.

Hello everyone!!...
Today I`m going to write about a photograph that I like very much.
Really, I dont know who took it, because I found it while I was searching pictures in Google long time ago.
The photograph shows a very beautiful cloud with a heart shape. This picture reflects a lot of emotions and gives the impression of
calmness, serenity and other feelings like this.
Actually, I don´t know when this photograph was taken, but I know that it was taken in a sunny day and probably it is because of that I like very much this photograph.
Also, I think that to find a photo like this, it is very difficult and the one who took the photo is a lucky person!!!
I would like to have the possibility of being able to take a photo as this one, but though I know that it is difficult, it is not impossible!!! Really, I hope to be able to capture a moment like this some day.

I found the link searching information of Psychoanalysis in google.
I visit the site very often. In fact every week, because the psychoanalysis is a topic very interesting for me.
Inside my career, Psychology, there are many theories to understand the mind and the human nature, but for me one of the most interesting is the theory created by Singmund Freud and continued by many other authors been interested in the Psychoanalysis. The whole theory on the unconscious one, the repression, sexual theories, etc. it is something very complex and is a challenge to understand it. I think that it is for this challenge about which I speak, because I need to look for the information and of knowing that it happens with the Psychoanalysis in Chile, and this web site giving me the possibility of being to so much of news, books, articles, magazines, following activities, other links related to this matter, etc.

My Cellular One

Hi bloggers!!

This time i write to tell them on a technological object very special for my: the cellular one.
This Cellular I have it enough time ago and it was a gift of birthday of my parents.
Really I use it too much to communicate with my friends, family, etc.
In addition it allows me to take photos, to record, etc.
In addition I use very much the alarm and the agenda of the cellular one, which are a constant follow-up of what I have to do and this does that it is very important.
It is very useful and I am charmed with because it allows me to be connected by the rest of the persons though it could not see them
face to face.
I believe that without my cellular one it would be very
disconnected especially of my family.
